Logan Mathew Janik born December 6th 2001, was that kid with the big bright smile that seemed on a perpetual mission to put smiles on the faces of everyone he met. No matter what your mood...mere seconds with Logan and you would find yourself in a place of happiness, innocence, and joy. Carefree... he would put a beaming smile on your face before you knew it was there. A place most of us struggle to find, but need to find more often...Logan was the conduit that could take you there in a heartbeat. He lived life his way...at full throttle, but yet with complete and undeniable selflessness.
Logan possessed no judgement, and treated everyone equally...if you were down, he would pick you up...if you were alone, he was your friend...if you were lost, he helped you find your way home...and if you were sad, he would consider it a personal challenge to brighten your life. He was stronger than life itself, both physically and emotionally.
Logan touched the lives of everyone that met him...peers, friends, parents, and teachers alike. If you were blessed to have known him, you immediately had a friend, a mentor, a confidant and a protector.
He had a thirst to experience all the good that this life has to offer, and he took us all on that journey with him whether we were ready for it or not.
The heart that Logan possessed was bigger than life itself, and he shared it with everyone during the short time he was here with us.
On May 7th 2019 Logans heart not only failed him, but failed us all, as he was chosen to move on from this life. The enormous selfless joyful heart that gave the world so much happiness, also left us with such an incredible, unimaginable, and unfillable void.
We all say that we would like to help change the world...well, I was blessed to be the man chosen to raise him and watch him truly do so....
Logan lived to Fly Fish with his friends and family and was a tireless athlete while on the Lacrosse fields with his friends, coaches, and competition...he had no happier places on this earth.
Not a Lacrosse family and still wish to help? Logan’s foundation accepts additional donations if the mood strikes you…all donations are distributed through the Logan’s Light Foundation, all of which are chosen specifically to help children and their families.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!
